This video for Acumatica looks at budgeting and forecasting from the budget input user's perspective. This includes the main input screen for account-level input, copy/paste options, adding notes, line-item detail entry and instant consolidation and immediate reporting against other data sets such as actuals, prior budgets and forecasts.
Input templates are also discussed for budget Human Resource details for existing employees and new hires for the upcoming budget or forecast term. All payroll data of existing employees is easily imported from an Excel spreadsheet. Human Resource input templates allow for calculating wages, bonus payments, overtime, commission payments, pay changes, taxes and benefit amounts. Employees may also be allocated across multiple departments, locations, companies, etc. Capital input templates let budget users plan for new assets, book the cost to balance sheet accounts and project depreciation expense for these new assets.
All changes are tracked in history so that the user who made the change, the date and time of the changes and the balance changes are all recorded in the budget database.
